Will coating stop my glass getting dirty?
No - your glass will still get dirty. If anyone tells you any coating is self-cleaning, they are lying to you. What it does is stop dirt and contaminants bonding to the surface, so when it does get dirty, it's much easier to clean. A quick rinse or wipe does what used to take scrubbing.
What glass is coating best for?
High-exposure glass benefits most - pool fences, glass balustrades, beachfront windows, and shower screens. Any glass that regularly gets wet or is exposed to minerals, salt, or pool water is a good candidate.
Does the glass need to be new?
No, but it needs to be clean and undamaged. If there's existing mineral etching or scratches, those will be locked in under the coating. I assess the glass first and recommend restoration if needed before coating.
How long does the coating last?
Up to 10 years with professional application. It won't wear off from normal cleaning - only physical damage to the glass itself would affect it.
